Client: Dream Star

Sector: Hospitality

The Development:

The Lansbury Heritage Hotel is a boutique luxury hotel located close to Canary Wharf in London.

A beautifully restored historic Grade II listed building, The Lansbury is surrounded by leafy churchyards and Grade I listed buildings. The hotel’s history can be traced back to the 17th Century when the East India Company built its first chapel and alms houses on the site in 1628.

With its landmark octagonal domed tower, the hotel is now the centre point of a highly protected conservation area.

Our Role:

To ensure the historic building was sensitively restored inside and out, The Tudor Door Company was appointed to replicate the original doors to meet both the regulations, English heritage and design.

Measuring 2.9m tall and 1.4m wide, the original doors were of an unusual size and designed with handcrafted woodwork.

Four of the existing doors were reconditioned by the Tudor team and restored to their former glory and a further 29 doors were replicated from scratch.

What our Client Says:

We worked directly with Tudor Door Company and they are at the top of our list for professionalism, accurate scheduling, and timely communication. Anybody who wants the best should go to Tudor.”
